kBOS Workflow

The kBOS workflow engine supports the automation of enterprise business processes and web-centric B2B. It allows processes to flow throughout the enterprise, and between the enterprise and its external business partners and interested parties. As shown below, work flow is designed by selecting organisational unit, role and task that define the nodes between which a business document flows. The rules are then added to specify applicable conditions.       Work flow is defined using the work flow designer described below. The designer provides graphical facilities to specify the nodes between which information flows.  The rules which dictate the information flow are also defined using this tool.     kBOS Workflow features Availability monitoring: The availability status of all users is maintained allowing each participant in the work flow to enter information regarding their availability including temporary meeting engagements or absence from main duties. User assignment management: The assignment of work flow tasks is automatically or manually performed based on criteria for work load and availability. Work flow supervision controller: supervisor role is enabled to monitor the progress of workflow and if necessary to reassign activities to different users.
